Bygone Hardware
Timeless Home Accoutrements

Over the past twenty-five years, Bygone Hardware has evolved from a small mail order business selling from Mr. Scott’s barn - to selling through our retail store, internet site and mail order today.  The one thing that has stayed true since our beginnings as Scott’s Hardware is the focus on-hard to find-hardware items for the wood worker and furniture restorer.

Today, Bygone Hardware offers its widest selection of hard to find hardware items for antique wood furniture restoration, trunk hardware, chair caning supplies, brass beds and antique lighting parts.  Our hardware items include such products as locks and keys, hinges, stays, knobs and pulls, escutcheons, fasteners and the list goes on.  We are always looking to broaden our offering to better serve the restorer and wood worker and hope you feel free to offer suggestions on how to do so by contacting us.

With our name change from Scott’s-Beckers’ Hardware to Bygone Hardware, we are entering yet another exciting phase in our history.  We have added new products, new product categories and now with this website a new way to purchase from us.  We hope you enjoy your experience with us online, but if you would rather have a catalog mailed to you, just select the “Request a Catalog” button on our contact us form.

We have recently completed the remodel of our Ozark retail store, which more than doubles our showroom space.  So, if you are ever in Southwest Missouri, please drop in to our Ozark store to see our entire selection.  We are located at 1411 South 3rd Street.

Since opening our first retail store over ten years ago, we have significantly added to our offering of better home hardware. This includes a wide selection of home door knobs and locks and cabinet knobs and pulls. In addition, we offer bath hardware, mail boxes, home address plaques and numbers and several other specialty architectural items for the home. It is our hope that whether you are a custom home builder or a home enhancer you will be able to find the home hardware that reflects your individual taste and style.
